In an area of Bucharest so architecturally spectacular one would think it is impossible for a building to really strikingly stand out. However the beautiful towered villa on Gheorghe Demetriade Street really does stands out attracting all glances. Built in an eclectic style, with Neo-Romanian elements but also with byzantine influences, the building really is the star of the neighborhood despite some very tough competitors like Horowitz House or the „Sacre Coeur” Church. The historical villa has the construction year engraved on the main façade: MCMXI. Built in 1911, the house has a total built area of 1.140 sqm on four levels: basement, ground floor, first floor, attic plus the tower. The interior has two distinct sides, corresponding to the two separate entrances: an old, historical part, very rich in decorations and beautiful architectural elements, and a part that was used until recently as office area and which is quite modern-looking and without any spectacular elements. Being one of the most most spectacular buildings of the entire „capitals” area, the towered villa can quickly become a beautiful place for permanent residence or can be turned in a successful commercial property.
