Steve Appel is recognized as a leading Interior Designer in Baltimore having accumulated more than 30 years experience through Nouveau Home and Interior Design, his multi-award-winning design studio and business. After Nouveau, he joined Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center as a Senior Interior Designer/Project Manager where he orchestrated the daunting task of moving the Critical Care Unit offices twice during the height of the Covid Crisis, earning a Letter of Achievement.
Having worked in interior design and staging homes his entire career, Steve transitioned to the real estate industry as a natural progression of both his love of homes and working with clients to problem solve situations regarding design needs. He has come to Monument Sotheby’s International Realty to continue providing his clients the white-glove level of service for which the brand is known. Placing a high value on respect, integrity, and kindness, Steve intends to use his background and expertise to help people find happiness and comfort in their homes.
Born and raised in Savage, Maryland, Steve has lived throughout Baltimore City in Butchers Hill, Reservoir Hill, Federal Hill (notice a trend?), and Canton. He volunteers with Helping Up Mission Baltimore and enjoys going to the gym, bike riding, classical music, and riding his Vespa. He and his wife, Kris have two Himalayan cats, Slugger and Henry.
