Local Expertise. Global Connections.
Rachel Levy, CMP, comes to Sotheby’s International Realty with an unmatched background in high-end, ultra-luxury hospitality. Over fifteen years understanding the needs of her clients at Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Four Seasons Hotels, Destination Hotels, and InterContinental Hotels, she has collectively booked over one hundred million dollars in sales for her properties. Before taking on a sales role, she worked in operations, ensuring the needs of her exacting and demanding clients were being met at every turn. She has exceeded sales targets, often substantially, and has won numerous awards from both her employers and her peers, notably Chairman’s Club in the Destination Hotels Group and 36 Under 36 from the Jewish United Fund. Her engrained understanding of luxury living and high-end needs, bolstered by her experience in a fast-paced work environment as National Sales Directors for both Waldorf Astoria Chicago and Waldorf Astoria Maui, brings a targeted focus to understanding her clients and meeting their needs as a Real Estate professional for Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty.
Rachel received her Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Central Florida. She went on to accept a nine-month assignment in Beijing, China ahead of the 2008 Summer Olympics for a hotel group growing through the country in the rapidly accelerating Chinese hospitality market. Rachel has achieved certification as a CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) and as a Pandemic Compliance Advisor by Health Education Services. Alongside her professional career, Rachel has also maintained a leadership role in her community, First Chair and Associate Board Member for the Council for Jewish Elderly (CJE), a member of the Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE) and Meeting Planners International (MPI). She is, additionally, a consummate golfer and is more than ready for any challenge on the course. Rachel enjoys travel, new experiences, and enriching her breadth of understanding by meeting people of different backgrounds than hers and staying open-minded to a wide-open world both foreign and familiar.
Having previously lived in Beijing, China; San Diego, California; Orlando and Miami, Florida, Rachel currently lives in the Printers Row neighborhood of Chicago but hails from the North Shore, raised in Glencoe and having attended New Trier High School. Her roots in Chicago and the North Shore extend deep and she maintains an intuitive and emotional familiarity with the city and area she has always called home, a place she stays eager to share with her clients and colleagues. She stays excited to work with her customers and partners alike as she brings her array of professional experience to real estate with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty.
