Baltimore born, raised, and educated; Theo’s journey to residential real estate started after he began a career in residential construction shortly after completing high school. As an entry level carpenter’s helper, Theo immediately fell in love with the experience and the field. He subsequently joined Baltimore Carpenters’ Local 101 as an apprentice carpenter. Four years later he obtained his formal designation as a Journeyman Union Carpenter. Many years were spent working on a variety of projects. One of the last major projects Theo worked on before starting his career in real estate was as one of the lead construction managers for ‘Maryland Live!’ Casino in Arundel Mills. Theo took early retirement from residential and commercial construction shortly thereafter to begin his career in residential real estate. The vast experience gained from working with client projects ranging from hundreds of dollars to hundreds of millions of dollars helped make the transition to becoming a real estate professional a seamless one.
Theo tremendously enjoys working with his buyer and seller clients. His approach is calm, professional, and knowledgeable regarding the many aspects of the real estate experience. Theo believes thoroughly in understanding the needs of his clients is critically important, whether they happen to be first time homebuyers, first time home sellers or clients who have engaged in the buying and selling process many times. His construction background has proved particularly useful for clients that are in the market to renovate and sell. Theo’s hands-on experience in building new homes in Howard, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Carroll and Montgomery counties helps to provide an insider’s knowledge for clients making a new construction purchase. That building experience includes high end townhomes, luxury single family homes along with the all-important starter townhomes and single-family homes. Decades of experience in the construction and real estate environments has not quenched Theo’s continued thirst for knowledge within the industry. He is always ready to use that knowledge and related life experiences to provide superior services to each of his clients, previous or new.
