Derek brings a well cultivated skill set and analysis to his real estate practice. He is keenly interested in the 'Why' of sellers and buyers. It is critical for Derek to understand clients' priorities and vision in order to deliver the right fit; it is all about their vision transformed to reality. He begins the process by inquiring about his clients' and customers' motivations. Only by understanding their 'Why' can a buyer or seller achieve their best outcome.
Derek also appreciates the fact that the Sotheby's International Realty brand is about representing the finest properties in the marketplace no matter the price. Therefore, he believes he can provide his clients and customers with the best outcomes by representing only the finest listings.
Derek has built a successful career over the past 16 years and is one of the most consistent and successful producers in the region.
On a personal level, Derek is a lifelong New England resident and has lived full time in the Upper Valley with his two daughters since 2004. Both are accomplished climbers and equestrians. Derek is a member of The Upper Valley Rowing Foundation based in Hanover. He participates in development with the Upper Valley Waldorf School and Friends of the Quechee Covered Bridge.
Prior to moving to Vermont, Derek lived in Boston, MA working in high-tech manufacturing in operations and sales management. It was his keen interest in real estate investing in the early 2000's that ultimately led him to a career in real estate.
