Local Expertise. Global Connections.
Nick Burke joined Sothebys Realty in 2019 but his interest in real estate began years before as a personal investor - building, buying and selling apartment complexes. Nick chose to join the Sotheby’s team based on their international presence, the opportunity to work with world class professionals and to utilize all the knowledge and resources provided by its global real estate network. Born in San Francisco, Nick moved to Georgia when his father retired from the Army. He grew up crisscrossing the country to visit relatives and explore the City by the Bay, which sparked his life-long interest in travel. Following graduation from the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy, he purchased a private pharmacy in a small town in South Georgia. After selling the Pharmacy in 2004, Nick and his family moved to Amelia Island. Falling in love with Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach, he wanted to share his enthusiasm for his new home. He obtained his real estate license in 2005 and this new career quickly became his passion. While building a successful business in Georgia, he developed a natural talent for relating to customers—a skill that has transitioned perfectly to real estate. He enjoys building relationships with clients and excels in taking the potential buyer or seller on a personalized tour of the area; listening to their wants, needs and desires; sharing current market trends; and planning a course of action for meeting each customer’s goals. He has consistently achieved Top Producer Realtor status in Nassau County. In 2018, he earned membership in the President’s Circle with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, recognition reserved for the top 10% of BHHS Agents. In his private time, there is nothing he enjoys more than being “Poppy” to his two beautiful and smart little granddaughters. Other leisure activities include foreign travel and reading mysteries. He has been married to his college sweetheart for more than forty years.
