Leslie Dougherty

Leslie is the Broker/Owner of Central Coast Sotheby’s International Realty. A skilled real estate professional, she leads a strong team who represent buyers and sellers on the highly desirable Central Coast of California. Prior to affiliating with Sotheby’s International Realty, Leslie owned a boutique real estate brokerage and also worked with national real estate franchises prior to becoming an independent broker.

Her clients have a high trust with Leslie. She brings a formidable level of professionalism, expertise and negotiation skills to the Central Coast market. Common themes clients share when working with Leslie are her calming nature, her persistence and patience in working through challenging situations, being solution oriented and placing confidence within her clients through consistent communication. With over 15 years of experience, Leslie has critical negotiation skills, an eye for contractual details and is who other agents turn to in working through difficult negotiations. She was the agent of choice for sellers in the downturn of the market where she achieved a 99% success rate in directly negotiating short sales on behalf of her clients. Competing in a major real estate market in Sacramento, CA, she was a past member of the Master’s Club recognized for her sales volume achievements.

Recently Leslie completed the Ninja Selling Installation through Sotheby's International Realty. She has earned a Master’s degree in Organizational & Industrial Psychology, a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and an Associate of Arts degree. An advocate of community college education, she is the past chair of the American River College Foundation and also had a successful career with the Los Rios Community College District prior to entering real estate full time.

She is the proud mom of three and delighted Oma of her grandson. She and her husband love living in Nipomo in the southern portion of San Luis Obispo County and also enjoy their vacation cottage in Cambria. They live with their band of rescue pets and are enthused supporters of animal shelters and rescues in finding the forever home for all animals in need.
