John W. Chang has over 16 years of experience in real estate sales transactions and valuation. John is the team lead of The Chang Team, which was among the top broker teams at the Sotheby’s International Realty – Downtown Manhattan Brokerage in 2017, focusing on listings, international buyers and high end clients. His team consists of six agents who specialize in various locations around New York City and the group is fluent in English, Russian, Chinese and Korean. Besides the standard listings sold, John has also sold short sales, REO properties and distressed sales.
John has previously worked as the Senior Director of Acquisitions at Ultimate Realty LLC, a NYC real estate development firm. His duties at the firm included the following: negotiating sale/ purchase agreements with sellers, putting together acquisition proposals, financing, overseeing all due diligence, securing entitlements and overseeing the close of escrows. John has also produced market valuation reports of large downtown and suburban office buildings, shopping centers, apartment complexes, high rises, retail buildings, churches, vacant land, cooperative buildings, factories, convenience stores, restaurants, and contaminated properties.
