In the early stages of her professional life, Shannon rose from sales representative to marketing coordinator at Race Wear Manufacturing, a multinational manufacturer of flame resistant suits for race car drivers. Before long, she landed the position of General Manager at the company’s office in South Carolina.
In this international business role, Shannon managed relationships with investors in order to secure working capital, developed a network of distributors in the United States, and negotiated sponsorship arrangements with racers, track managers and race series. She spearheaded the securement of a distributor in Australia and successfully negotiated the Live Nation account, which included televised monster jam events.
When opportunity summoned her husband, Dylan, to Calgary, Shannon turned her interest in fitness into a new career as general manager at one of Calgary’s oldest fitness facilities, the YWCA’s Fitness on 5th. Taking on the multi-faceted responsibility of managing the facility’s staff and setting & achieving sales targets all while adhering to the organization’s budgets. She even designed a corporate wellness program to help promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle for those leading busy professional lives. As well as encouraging clients and staff to strive for their best, Shannon also became a competitor in national level fitness events.
Since 2013, Shannon has been bringing this energy, passion, and strategic mindset to the world of real estate, earning awards such as Gold Top Sales and Rookie of the Year. Beyond these measures of success, Shannon has gained the respect and gratitude of countless clients. Originally from Ontario, Shannon has been calling Calgary home for close to a decade, taking full advantage of the opportunities it provides to spend time in the mountains. When she isn’t exploring Alberta’s backyard, she loves to broaden her experience of the world through travel. It all gives her an even greater appreciation of having a place to call home, especially now as she and Dylan enjoy raising their young daughter.
