Darcy Delano Smith is a true San Diegan. Born in San Diego, Darcy graduated from La Jolla High School and received her BA in History from UCLA and UC San Diego. Growing up among a family of realtor entrepreneurs, Darcy learned real estate smarts from an early age, as her father, David Delano, took her with him as he was locating key site acquisitions for Jack-in-the-Box Corporate. By the young age of 8, she knew the key elements for real estate negotiations and real estate locations. Darcy's passion for real estate had begun!
Since 1987 Darcy has been selling real estate in San Diego and California and in 2011 she joined Pacific Sotheby's. Aside from real estate, Darcy is the proud mother of two grown children her daughter, Cameron and her son, Mattson. Darcy is an active philanthropist with in the San Diego community. Darcy was a board member on the foundation of La Jolla high school 2008 - 2011. She and her daughter, Cameron, were members of the SD Chapter of the National Charity league for six years. Darcy has been a supporting member of Childhelp USA San Diego chapter for the past 25 years. She chaired four Galas/Balls for the SD chapter. She helped start and support Luau and long board annual event for cancer research. And recently has become involved with the Dolling Foundation.
Darcy is a long time tennis player and still plays competitively (work permitting) on the woman's doubles league at LJB&TC. She was a La Jolla high CIF doubles champion -2 years. She played for UCLA women's tennis team for one year. And she was a quarter finalist at the French Open in mixed doubles. Darcy is passionate about her community, her family, and her clients and will work hard to bring you the best service whatever your real estate needs may be!
