Andrea Kaplan

Andrea grew up in the quiet suburb south of Boston, Hingham, Massachusetts. She is a graduate of Salve Regina University in Newport, RI with a BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education as well as a MA in Special Education. Prior to settling in Manchester, VT, Andrea and husband, Mark, a Port Washington, NY native, lived in the Pacific Northwest as well as Fairfield, CT. Fly fishing and upland bird hunting was the original drive for moving to Vermont. Since moving here, it has become very clear that this was the best choice for them and their two boys, Miles and Maxx. The quaint characteristics of the town, the tight knit community and immediate involvement in civic duties has made this the best decision. Both boys are students at local schools, Miles is a soon to be senior at Burr and Burton Academy (BBA), is captain of the football team as well as a member of the boys lacrosse team. Maxx is a rising freshman at BBA who has a love for bass fishing, lacrosse and playing his guitar. In addition to her own children, her family hosted a BBA international student from Prague, Czech Republic. Jakub is currently playing junior hockey for the Connecticut Roughriders in Norwalk, CT.
