A North Carolina native, Jane grew up just outside the Research Triangle, in Smithfield. She headed to college in nearby Raleigh, first graduating from Peace College and then earning her degree in Sociology/Social Work from Meredith College. In 1982, she and her husband, Ted, returned to his hometown of Wilmington, where he subsequently opened his law practice, and Jane's career path transitioned from psychiatric social work to healthcare marketing. When she stepped down from her full time position as Marketing Director for a private treatment center to rear her two young children, she continued to utilize her marketing skills as a sales rep for several retail product lines. In 1998, Jane began her successful real estate career, earning national as well as local recognition as a Top Producer, and receiving the Fine Homes Specialist designation. As a former social worker, Jane prides herself in listening to the needs of her clients and making them her number one priority. Jane is passionate about working with home buyers, and her extensive knowledge of the Wilmington area, combined with her patience and diligence, makes her uniquely equipped to help them find the best home possible to suit their needs. Whether it is first time buyers or seasoned luxury buyers, Jane has the skills to help make their dreams a reality. Currently residing in a waterfront home, she is knowledgeable of the special issues faced in the ownership of waterfront property. An active community and church volunteer and arts supporter, Jane is committed to enriching the lives of her neighbors. One of her greatest sources of pride is her two adult children and their growing families. When not busy with real estate, Jane enjoys taking advantage of the beautiful nearby beaches, spending time with her family, and playing bridge.
