He founded the Ranch Division in 2011 and managed it until 2014 when he partnered with Harlan Ray to form the Burgher-Ray Ranch Group, which has been the top ranch group at Briggs Freeman every year since. He began his career as a commercial real estate broker and appraiser. In 1991, he co-founded Butler-Burgher, Inc, a regional valuation firm with offices in four cities in Texas and Tennessee. In 2007, the business was sold to LandAmerica Title Company. In 1998, he founded Trophy Investments which focused on commercial real estate investment and development projects, grocery-anchored and retail centers, office buildings, self-storage, industrial and medical office buildings, specialty hospitals, commercial land, and a large redevelopment of an eight-block, 28-acre mixed use project. Burgher is a fifth generation Dallasite whose Texas ancestors date back to 1840. He graduated from Highland Park High School, the University of Texas (BBA) and Birmingham Theological Seminary (Presbyterian) with a Masters. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker, State Certified Real Estate Appraiser and Property Tax Consultant Various professional organizations with which he has been involved include the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, The Real Estate Council, the International Council of Shopping Centers, MetroTex and the Greater Tyler Area Realtors. Active in the communities of Dallas and Fort Worth, he serves as a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, Chancellor’s Council for the University of Texas, and previous Chairman of the Board of the Fort Worth Historic Camp Bowie District, and the Dallas Country Club. He is a founding board member of the Dallas Real Estate Ministries (DREM), founding member/deacon of the Park Cities Presbyterian Church, and funding member and previous teaching director for the evening group of the Community Bible Study in the Park Cities. He and his wife, Pam, raised their five children in Dallas, and are now the proud grandparents of four grandchildren. After living in Bosque and Denton Counties for the last ten years with their horses and dogs, they recently moved back to Dallas and their old neighborhood.
